Tooheys NSW today announced two new sponsorship deals with Group 9 and Group 20 Rugby League in Southern NSW.
Regional Director for Tooheys NSW, Matt Tapper, said the five-year deals will see XXXX GOLD, Australia’s second largest beer brand and leading midstrength beer, become the naming rights sponsor of both competitions. ”Tooheys has been a long term supporter of grass roots rugby league and already sponsors other competitions including Groups 4, 10, and 11,” Mr Tapper said. “We’re delighted with the new sponsorship arrangements for Group 9 and Group 20, and look forward to continuing to assist in ensuring the sustainability and vibrancy of grass roots rugby league in the region,” he concluded. President for Group 9, Neville Smith, was delighted with the new deal. He welcomed Tooheys back as major sponsors of the Group 9 competition saying: “We not only look forward to promoting the game, but Tooheys’ products over the coming years.” Likewise, the Secretary for Group 20, Rocci Di-Salvatore, was also delighted with the new deal, stating: “It’s great to see Tooheys’ involvement in country rugby league extending so far into South West NSW.
