EnergyAustralia has been announced as A-League club, the Central Coast Mariners', official energy partner in a new three-year partnership that will boost junior football development across the Central Coast.
Mariners executive chairman, Lyle Gorman, told SSA that the grassroots program will cost the club approximately $500,000 annually and that Energy Australia will cover close to half of that amount. Gorman also hinted that The Mariners were close to finalising more commercial deals.
Under the agreement, EnergyAustralia will support the Mariners’ junior development and schools programs, with a special EnergyAustralia Community Day to take place at the Mariners’ home game next month against last year's Grand Finalists, Adelaide United.
EnergyAustralia managing director, George Maltabarow, said the partnership will focus on grassroots support for football on the Central Coast, with EnergyAustralia to provide further support for families on the Central Coast by building a new community education programs.
