Boots For All & Essendon Football Club Gets Everyone In The Game - Footy Boot Collection 2008
Essendon Football Club in conjunction with not-for-profit organisation Boots For All, have joined forces to collect quality second hand footy boots and equipment throughout season 2008.
Boots and equipment collected will be redistributed to disadvantaged communities throughout Australia. Donations can be made prior to the Essendon v Western Bulldogs game Friday night at one of the collection points outside gates 1 and 5 at The Dome. Or boots and equipment can be dropped off at any of the 30 Brotherhood of St Laurence community store across Melbourne and Boots For All will pass them on to someone who loves footy as much as you.
'The boots and football jumpers provided to our community and school by Boots For All has greatly assisted our football program by allowing members the opportunity to own their own boots and jumper for the first time. Because of this opportunity a large number of community members have wanted to play football this year resulting in many people engaging in daily positive and healthy activity.' Clifton Girgirba, Chairperson Parnngurr Community School, W.A.
